Our vision for the future
At Cremo, we are convinced that sustainability and economic performance go hand in hand.
Our commitment to the environment is not just a responsibility, it's also a driver of innovation and efficiency.
By continuing to invest in sustainable solutions, whether in our production processes, logistics or resource management, we are preparing a more virtuous future for our company, our partners and future generations.
Our objective is clear: to become a leader in the Swiss dairy industry in terms of sustainability, while maintaining the excellence of our products.

Reducing emissions :
A long-term commitment, a voluntary and ambitious approach
Since 2013, we have been committed to a CO₂ emissions reduction agreement, demonstrating our determination to be at the forefront of the fight against climate change. The results are convincing: emissions linked to gas and fuel oil consumption at our production sites have fallen by 47% in a decade.
Our approach is built around concrete measures aimed at:

Optimizing our energy performance

Reducing our CO₂ emissions

Implement innovative solutions for a more sustainable use of resources
A comprehensive, transparent approach
Our commitment doesn't stop there. In 2023, we launched a comprehensive assessment of our greenhouse gas emissions, including scope 3 - all indirect activities generating emissions. This exhaustive approach will enable us to identify new levers to help reduce our overall impact over the long term.

A partnership for carbon neutrality
In our quest for environmental efficiency, we have chosen to outsource our transport activities, a strategic decision that combines operational performance and respect for the environment. This initiative enables us to refocus on our core business, while adopting more environmentally-friendly logistics.
By working with Galliker, a company renowned for its modern, environmentally-friendly fleet, we have optimized delivery routes and consolidated transport, considerably reducing our nationwide emissions.
Our commitment goes even further: we have entered into a partnership with the Mobilité Galliker Green Logistics association, and are aiming for carbon neutrality in our transport activities. This ambitious project reflects our determination to innovate for a sustainable future.
A step closer to cleaner energy
In 2024, Cremo took another step towards cleaner energy and a more responsible future. In partnership with OIKEN, an installation of 4,833 photovoltaic panels was installed and commissioned on the roof of our factory in Sierre (VS).
With a surface area of 9,437 m2 - almost 2 soccer pitches - this facility is one of the largest private production units in the Canton of Valais.
